Graduation Day 2016 report

PACE conducted its 13th Batch Graduation Ceremony on 7th January 2017 in the PACE campus. About 450 students who successfully completed Doctorate, MBA Post Graduation, M.Tech and Engineering were awarded with graduation certificates. Academic toppers and Best Outgoing students were awarded with gold coins. A special Award presented to Mr. Sehil E. from Electrical and Electronics Engineering for his brilliant innovations in Technology by the dignitaries. The ceremony was witnessed by 1500 people including Graduands, Guests, Invitees and parents. The program was held in the college auditorium. 

Dr. H. N. Jagannatha Reddy, Registrar, VTU Belagavi delivered the Graduation Day address. Dr. He congratulated all the students for their new beginning in life and said, “In real life, graduation is just the new beginning for the students as they enter their professional stage in life. Everyday should be accepted by the students as a new day which can be used to learn new things. That is the real meaning of graduation since learning never stops throughout one’s lifetime.” 
Dr. Syed Akheel Ahmed, Professor of University of Mysore, said, “All the students gathered here are the creamy layers among the educated people. Each one of you will surely take good care of your parents since they made you what you have become. Teachers and alma mater should also be revered with highest respect since they are the ones who shaped your lives.” 
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khadar said the P. A. College of Engineering was the first engineering college to be established in Mangalore and the rest followed. “Do not be in a hurry to get out of the country. India needs brilliant minds within itself so as to take the country forward. With regard to achieving success in professional life, each one of you should take one step at a time so that you do not lose your step”, he advised the students.
District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai spoke to the students and gave them the parents’ point of view in the convocation. He said, “Parents make great sacrifices for their children so that they can see them become successful individuals. I am sure that the students who have graduated will definitely keep up the name of their parents and take them great places.”
Dr. P A Ibrahim Haji, the Chairman and Managing Trustee of P A Educational Trust presided over the function. In his presidential address he urged the students to bring more laurels to themselves and College in their future endeavours by hardwork and dedication. He congratulated all the graduating students and wished for their brighter future.
Principal of P. A. College of Engineering, Dr. Abdul Sharief read a brief report on the activities going of the college. Janab Haneef K M, Director Administration of the college, Janab Ahmed Kutty Director Finance, Dr. Ramis M K, Vice Principal, Prof. Surfraz Hasim J. Director Academics, Dr. A. J. Antony, Dean Student Affairs, Dr. Zahid Ansari, Dean Research, Dr. Beeran Moideen, Director MBA along with All the department HOD’s were present during the program. Janab Abdulla Ibrahim, Executive Director welcomed the gathering and Dr. Ramis M K Vice Principal proposed the vote of thanks. Prof. Fathimath Raihana and Prof. Nabeel Ahemad compeered the program.
