Webinar on Foundation Program 5.0:
Infosys Campus Connect
A webinar was organized by Infosys as part of the Campus Connect program for the CSE, ECE and EEE pre-final year students on 12th May, 2017 in the morning session at multipurpose hall. The major objective of the program were to introduce students to the latest campus connect foundation program training and roll out scheme through online seminar.
Prof. Ahmed Rimaz, Spoc, campus connect, PACE chapter,
initiated the session by communicating with his counterpart Mr. Hari S, Lead,
ETA, Infosys DC, Trivandrum. Hari had provided the participants with an overview
of their flag ship Information Technology training program named Foundation
Program which is in its 5th version. He also took them through the road map and
he demonstrated to the students as to how they could leverage the lesson
plans and study the topics at their own pace. He highlighted the key 5 modules,
and as to how they should do the quiz, assignments, and the project work. He
also highlighted the role of faculty members as a guide and mentors. At the end
of the session Mr. Hari took questions from the students and clarified their
doubts. The rollout program for this batch begins effectively with this
webinar.
In the valedictory speech, Prof. Mohammed Hussain K reminded students
about the importance of campus connect specially for non-cs students. Prof.
Sharmila Kumari, HOD (CSE) briefed on the importance of programming and role of
campus connects role on it. Prof. John Volder, HOD(EEE), expressed his
happiness on the webinar event and explained the importance of programming for
all engineering branches. Dr. Ramis M.K, vice-principal, expressed his
happiness on the successful placement status of final year students and summarise
the importance of campus connect program in placement of IT companies. The programme is
organised by Prof. Tanvir H. Sardar, Prof. Abdul Majeed and Prof. Jamil Ahmed
of Dept. of CSE.
