Workshop on IoT Application Design

Department of computer science and Engineering and Embed Club, PACE, Mangalore, conducted one day workshop on IoT Application Design for 2nd year students on 3rd of April 2019under ARM university program. The Internet of Things will be the next big thing on the Planet Earth, and everybody is a stakeholder as the IoT is orthogonal and pervasive, impacting at the roots of our lives.
Workshop was meant for introducing the Internet of Things, the way it should be for students who would like to understand the fundamentals of IoT design and will be able to explore for more participate in the design of IoT application for solving the problems or expected outcomes. The fundamentals of IoT applications design were discussed, which included ARM Cortex M4, NodeMCU, Mbed online compiler, Arduino IDE Designing of Embedded Server etc. Secondly, groups were formed to design the IoT solutions for different problems / outcomes.
The workshop started with the introduction to embedded systems and internet of things by Faculty from CSE Department Prof.Habeeb Ur Rehman and Prof MohammedSaifudeen.The hands-on session on Arm STM 32 andNodeMCU boards conducted by Third year CSE students Mr Mohammed Shakir and Mr Hashir Abdullah.
