Industrial Visit to Mangaluru SEZ Construction Site, Jokatte
FORCE, an association of Department of Civil Engineering organized an Industrial Visit to Mangaluru SEZ Construction Site - A Flyover connecting Jokatte railway gate and MRPL, Kuttethoor, which includes a bridge above Phalguni River. The visit was organized on 24 September 2016.
Day started with an
inaugural function by Mr. Arun Prabha. In the presence of K. S, Mr. Suraj
Shetty, Mr. Arun Raj, Mr. Nishanth B. S, Mr. Rajath Hegde K, Mr. Mithun, Mr.
Srikanth, Miss. Dishadvi D. D, Miss. Namitha and all final year students.
Students were provided with the drawings which included plan, sectional
elevation, and schedule of opening, site plan, direction, client, contract and
consultant. Group of eighty students were divided into five small clusters.
Each cluster is accompanied by an expert and taken to view various works
happening at site.
The
programme came to an end by the thanks giving followed by refreshments.
Students gained a practical wide knowledge on pre-tensioning. With the support
of all experts at site, civil faculties and students, the programme was
successfully completed.
