P.A. College of Engineering Ranked among Top Research Institutions in Karnataka

P.A. College of Engineering (PACE) secured 4th rank among the top 20 engineering institutions affiliated to VTU based on the research productivity. Moreover PACE is ranked 1st in terms of Average Citations per Year (ACPY) followed by MSRIT Bangalore and SJCE Mysore. The ranking is based on the research output during the period 1989 to 2015 (27 years), by analyzing the Web of Science (WoS) research publication repository. PACE is the only institution from the Mangalore region in top 20 lists of most research productive institutions.

This achievement is very significant because all the top 5 colleges other than PACE were established during 1960s and have 15 or more research centers. Whereas PACE is established during year 2000 and has 7 research centers. This is an indication of the PACE has grown in leaps and bounds in just 15 years with good infrastructure and research activities, leading to one of the fastest growing engineering college in Karnataka.

The research output of PACE is growing with time. As per WoS records 198 documents were published from 2000 to 2015. Whereas in last 3 years (2016-18), 180 research papers and 4 books are published. PACE has also filed 3 patents in this period. The research and innovation activities of PACE were recognized and honored by GOVT. of INDIA by granting an MSME Technology Incubation Center (TBI) in 2017. PACE is the only engineering institution granted with MSME technology incubation center in Mangalore region.
