Department of Computer Science and Engineering, P.A Polytechnic, conducted a seminar entitled Python: Applications and a Quick Start for Computer Science Students on Thursday October 4th, 2017. The major objectives of the program was to enable the students to identify the importance of learning programming and to enable them to quickly get started with Python programming. Dr Zahid Ahmed Ansari, Dean (Research), P.A College of Engineering, was the resource person for this program.
Principal P.A. Polytechnic, Prof K.P Soofie presided the event. Prof. Soofie addressed the students to utilize this opportunity and hone their professional profile with umbrella of programming skills. HOD CSE, Mrs. Aruna Kumari G.K introduced the resource person. Ms Fareen welcomed the guest of honour. In this seminar, Dr Zahid Ansari motivated the students to learn Python programming language and presented a systematic approach to install and start working with Python. He also demonstrated the simplicity and power of Python language by demonstrating various Python application examples. Over 100 students of CSE attended this seminar with overwhelming response to event; a buzz in the campus set the right note for the program.
The program was conducted at 10:00 am, in Edusat hall and coordinated by Mr. Amareesh Attavar in presence of all the staff members of CSE department. Student coordinators Mr Amruth and Ms Tanushree were the master of ceremony for the programme.
