MICROTECH – Workshop on Arduino – Microcontroller Technology was organized by Electronics & Communication department under the banner of students forum Ignited Minds of Electronics (IME), in association with IEEE-PACE and First Year Engineering Students Association(FESA) on 2nd August, 2023 at Communication & VLSI lab.

Ms. Khadeejath Munavvara & Mr. Afham Bhaig presented the details of Arduino UNO board. Prof. Tenson Jose gave brief introduction to various electronics components required for building the projects. The presentation session was followed by hands on session on Arduino UNO. How to use Arduino boards, how to download programs into Arduino board, how to interface Arduino board with various sensors were explained and demonstrated to the students. Few mini projects made using Arduino were also demonstrated.

The valedictory function was held at 3:30pm in Communication lab. Dr. Ramis M.K, Principal-PACE, Dr. Sharmila Kumari, Vice Principal and Head-CS department, Prof. Mohammed Hussain, HOD-EC department, Prof. Abdul Majeed, HOD First year department and Prof. Mohammed Saleem, EC department were present. Dr, Ramis M.K, explained the importance of workshops and encouraged the students to develop real time mini projects from first year itself. 

The workshop was conducted by 4th semester students of EC department for the 1st semester students of CS department (D, E and F sections). Prof. Mohammed Saleem, EC department, was the staff coordinator, Mr. Shaheem Rahiman and Mr. Shailendra were the student coordinators.
